Tibet, 17th/ 18th c.
23,5 x 23,5 cm R.
The centre depicts Hevajra embracing his consort trampling on various figures reclining on the lotus-base, his sixteen arms radiate around his body while the hands support each a kapala, his multiple faced head displaying wrathful expressions, flaming halo behind, surrounded by eight dancing dakinis belonging to his retinue, each placed against a lotus-petal set within the square palace, encircled from the inside onwards by a band of lotus-petals, the eight cemeteries representing the eight different levels of the mind and a border of multi-colored stylized scrolling flames. Framed under glass.
